Date: 2024-09-10 06:55 am (UTC)Since November last year my writing has become increasingly more feral and unhinged so I am leaning fully into that now. I write every day, which is not something that works for everyone but does work for me, and I like trying to compete with myself and others to get very high word counts. This is not to lord myself over anyone else--I'll rarely mention it at all--it's just something that makes my brain go BRRRRRRRR
My goal for September is actually pretty subdued, because I plan on writing a BUNCH in November so I'm doing easy goals for September and October. I aim to write 15K+ and I'm working mainly on my epic fantasy novel Star of Ixchel, which is a complete rewrite of a book that was originally published under a different name.
I'm relaunching the series, and while book 1 in the series just got mild text updates, book 2 needed a complete overhaul. And I'm a self-pub author so I can do what I want.
My goal for Star of Ixchel this month is to finish part 2 of the book & start part 3. (There are 9 parts, for the 9 deities in the cosmology I'm exploring.) I am pantsing it completely (while knowing there are plot points that must remain the same from the first version) so it's been a fun experience.
I'm also hoping to get some revisions done on books on the revision pile, especially my romance series so I can work on getting it off the ground.
When I'm not writing, I'm binge-watching TV and knitting or crocheting, or spending a lot of time making my planner very pretty.

Date: 2024-09-22 04:45 am (UTC)(I also like to silently compete with others in my pledge level, which is what drove me to completing my pledge in June this year -- I had to be FIRST! (I think technically I was second; someone else in my pledge level definitely had a higher word count for June check in, but hey, it was close enough. XD))

Date: 2024-09-23 01:41 am (UTC)Trackbear is still in beta, so this is likely a bug, with it consistently not loading for you, and I'd guess some other folks are having the same issue as well!
If you have the energy for it, I would suggest emailing the support email: trackbearapp+support@gmail.com and letting him know what's going on with as much detail as you can (browsers you're using, what country you're in (in case it's an IP problem), operating systems). He might be able to troubleshoot things for you, or maybe there's something on the site side of things that needs to be tweaked.
It might take him some time to respond; as he says on his contact page, "I am just a dude." And IDK if it's something fixable. Tech is mysterious. But it's worth a shot!
